I love this recipe. It is very simple, yet it is so delicious and makes me really happy to have learned the basics of Italian cooking from a chef myself.
I am so used to people cooking their food the way they’re used to cooking it that it has been a bit of a shock to me that an Italian chef would cook something, like pasta, the way they’re used to cooking it. I’ve never done a proper cooking tutorial, but I’ve seen lots of videos where people make simple dishes and put a lot of effort into it.
Yes, that is right. Its the exact opposite. Italians are the opposite of the way we are used to cooking. They are the most meticulous cooks, and in general they make things much better. It takes a lot of work to make something, and they pride themselves on doing things in a very meticulous, precise, and perfect way. They cook in layers and layers of fresh products and carefully arrange everything in precise ratios and proportions. This is how you can make an excellent lasagna.
When I say that they are the most meticulous cooks, I mean they are meticulous. This is something you can see in their home, and not just any home. They have specific recipes for everything from risotto and meatballs to chicken parm and meatballs. The only things that are not meticulous are their children, who they cook everything perfect for, and their pets, who they make everything in perfect proportions.
The only thing a truly meticulous cook wouldn’t do is try to make a lasagna that is not absolutely perfect. To get that, you would have to make a lot of mistakes.
The people who have been cooking this way through the years have done it so intentionally because they feel that that is the best way to do things. They feel that it’s a way of making the most of their time, as they are constantly on the go. But what they are doing is also completely pointless, as they do not have a fixed schedule and are constantly busy.
